Service Description

This weekly summer workshop invites children and their caregivers into a thoughtfully guided outdoor learning experience, where art, nature, and observation come together in a calm and enriching environment. Set within the natural beauty of Gardens and Farms in Mobile Al. or Fairhope, Al, each session is centered around Alabama state standards in Art and designed to nurture creativity through real-world exploration. Children engage directly with their surroundings—observing textures, colors, patterns, and movement—while translating those discoveries into meaningful creative expression. Students and caregivers are guided through a six-step process: Observation, Thinking & Planning, Creating, Connecting, Applying, and Reflection. This framework encourages children to slow down, think critically, and create with intention, while also building confidence in their ability to express and interpret the world around them. Through hands-on art-making, guided reflection, and connection to nature, this workshop creates a space where children and families can learn together—fostering curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
