Service Description
The Art of Creating & Expressing is a 3-day, state-aligned, hands-on learning experience where students explore storytelling and creative expression as tools for communication, connection, and understanding. Through guided artistic exploration, students engage in visual art, storytelling, and design-based activities that allow them to bring their ideas to life. Each session is guided by a trained facilitator, who leads students through a structured process of **observation, thinking, creating, connecting, and applying**. Students receive a personal workbook to record their ideas, reflections, and creative development, supporting both their learning process and their ability to think independently. Throughout the experience, students are invited to observe their surroundings, reflect on personal experiences, and translate their thoughts into creative expression. Through hands-on activities in art, storytelling, and creative design, students explore how ideas are formed, communicated, and connected to the world around them. Over the three days, students will: • explore storytelling through visual and written expression • engage in hands-on creative art and design activities • develop confidence in sharing ideas and perspectives • build connections between creativity, communication, and real-world experiences • strengthen critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills This program integrates art, literacy, and STEM, supporting whole-child development—mind, body, and spirit—while aligning with state standards. Designed for elementary-age students and an accompanied caregiver, this experience creates space for imagination, expression, and meaningful connection.
