Service Description

Mondays | 1 Hour | 7 Weeks | Ages 6–12 No Classes on November 23rd ArtNoble Homeschool STEM is a 7-week, hands-on course where students explore science through observation, experimentation, building, testing, and reflection. The course is divided into two units aligned with the Alabama Course of Study Science Standards. Unit 1: Forces Make Things Move introduces balanced and unbalanced forces, patterns of motion, and using observations to make predictions. Students will investigate how pushes and pulls affect movement and create STEM projects that allow them to test these concepts in action. Unit 2: Invisible Forces explores forces that act without direct contact, including magnetic and electrostatic forces. Students will investigate attraction, repulsion, cause-and-effect relationships, and how invisible forces influence objects without direct contact. Throughout both units, students follow the 7-Phase Noble Building Framework™: Observe → Think & Plan → Create → Apply & Integrate → Connect → Reflect → Gratitude Students begin by observing and asking questions, then plan and build STEM projects, test their ideas, connect their learning to the real world, reflect on their results, and close each experience with gratitude. students will: Investigate balanced and unbalanced forces and explain how the size, number, and direction of forces can affect an object's motion. Observe and measure patterns of motion and use those patterns to make predictions about future motion. Investigate cause-and-effect relationships between objects that are not touching, including magnetic and electrostatic interactions. Explore attraction and repulsion and describe how magnetic forces can act over a distance. Apply scientific ideas about magnets to solve an engineering problem** through designing, building, testing, and improving a STEM project. *Make observations, ask questions, develop predictions, and communicate findings from hands-on investigations. Use the engineering design process to create, test, evaluate, and improve solutions. These learning outcomes support Alabama Science Standards SCI.3.1–SCI.3.4: Motion and Stability—Forces and Interactions.
