Summer Family Immersion: The Art of Land, Animal, and Sound

Join us for a multi-day summer workshop where families experience three immersive, hands-on programs: Equestrian, Cattle Farm, and Sound & Science. Designed for children and caregivers, this state-aligned experience combines art, science, sensory exploration, agriculture, and creative learning through guided outdoor experiences. Equestrian Experience — Mobile, AL 36695 Families will visit a working equestrian farm in the suburbs of Mobile where students will learn: • general horse care • horse safety and health • nutrition and pasture maintenance • introductory horseback riding Students will participate in ALCOS-aligned art, observation, movement, and reflection activities inspired by horses and the farm environment. Cattle Farm Experience — Grand Bay, AL Located in Grand Bay, families will explore: • cattle care and feeding • land stewardship • agriculture and food systems • farm-to-table connections Students will complete guided creative hands-on activities connected to nature, agriculture, and visual storytelling. Sound & Science Experience Students will explore: • sound and vibration • rhythm and sensory awareness • creative expression through sound and art Using sound bowls, guided listening, movement, and artmaking, students participate in ALCOS-aligned sensory and creative learning activities. Throughout the workshop, families move through ANF’s guided six-step learning process: Observe • Plan • Create • Apply • Connect • Reflect
