Visual Arts

Service Description

Visual Arts (Ages 6–12) Caregiver and student Length: 1 Hour Students discover the joy of creating while building a strong foundation in the visual arts through drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, and design. Guided by the Elements of Art and Principles of Design, each lesson encourages children to observe carefully, explore new materials, and express their ideas with confidence and creativity. Students are introduced to the artistic process by learning to observe, imagine, plan, create, and reflect on their work. Along the way, they develop artistic skills, creative thinking, and visual communication while learning that there is value in both the process of creating and the finished artwork. Each lesson is aligned with Visual Arts Standards and is thoughtfully designed to foster creativity, curiosity, and confidence while helping students develop skills that support learning across all subject areas.
